Project Management Specialist
Project Management Specialist. GMA Engineering PLLC. Newark, NJ.
Assist in the development and maintenance of project schedules, budgets, and progress tracking systems to support project managers in monitoring project activities and milestones. Conduct data analysis, variance analysis, and performance assessments to identify trends, deviations, and potential risks that may impact project schedule, cost, or quality. Prepare regular project reports, dashboards, and presentations for project stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators, project status, and areas for improvement. Collaborate with project managers and team members to track project deliverables, resolve issues, and ensure alignment with project objectives and deadlines. Support the implementation of project controls processes, change management procedures, and risk management strategies to enhance project efficiency and effectiveness. Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather project data, update project documentation, and ensure consistency and accuracy of project information. Contribute to the continuous improvement of project management practices, tools, and methodologies within the program controls office to optimize project performance and outcomes. Support the change management process and contract administration, including coordinating with project managers and team members, analyzing issues, assist in resolving and processing change orders, and assist Project Managers with contract administration. Salary: $110,864.00-$200,000.00/year.
Requires: Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related degree. 3 years of experience in any civil or structural engineering role. 3 years of experience in any civil or structural engineering role to include the following: demonstrated project experience working with Amtrak, MTAC&D, and NYSDOT; demonstrated experience as an owner’s representative for transit infrastructure clients, including co-location with project owner and other stakeholders; demonstrated experience in the planning and procurement phase of transit project(s), including in an owner’s representative role; demonstrated experience performing structural design services for rail bridges on design-build projects ($1B+), including preparation of design documents, review of shop drawings and contractor submittals; demonstrated experience with coordination of high-rise (75+ floors) overbuild structures with below ground transit structures ($1B+), including the design and construction phases. Demonstrated proficiency with software LARSA, Bluebeam Studio, ProjectWise, MicroStation, AutoCAD, and Procore. Demonstrated familiarity with maintaining schedules, including procurement and construction phases of transit projects.
